How Ai Startups Can Become Trusted Business Transformers
Organizations must obtain sufficient business value (BV) from Business Intelligence (BI) adoption to preserve their profitability and long-term sustainability. However, the nuances that define the success of BV through BI are still not understood by many organizations that adopt BI. This paper is designed to promote a deeper understanding of the relationship between Business Intelligence (BI) and business value (BV) by focusing on the assumptions used, the importance of BV derivation, inhibitors of BV, and different models. B.V. To do this, a qualitative literature review (SLR) was adopted. Articles are retrieved from our search databases, namely Google Scholar, Scopus, and Science Direct, based on search strings. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were used to select ninety-three (93) papers as the first study. We found that the most used theoretical frameworks in the research of BI and BV are Resource-Based View (RBV), Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT), Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE), and Contingency Theory (CON). The most important recognized at BV are human capital skills, BI Infrastructure, data quality, BI application and application/data culture, BI relationship with the organizational goals, and top management support. The best inhibitors of BV are data quality and handling, data security and protection, lack of BI Infrastructure, and lack of human resources, while customer intelligence is the most recognized form of BV. So far, many theories related to BI and BV, importance, reaction, and information of BV have been mentioned in the literature, need further investigation. This study presents opportunities for future research that can be explored to gain a deeper understanding of the problems of BV provided by BI. It also makes sense for users of BI, BI researchers, and BI practitioners.
Business Intelligence (BI) is a data-intensive tool that can help businesses progress through better decision-making and then sustainable operations and business value (BV) [1, 2]. Today’s business environment has become dynamic and fiercely competitive; therefore, business organizations must make proper decisions to ensure continuous profitability and long-term sustainability [3, 4]. Therefore, information and business intelligence has become essential for any organization that wants to keep the profit, efficiency, and stability that has led to the focus on Business Intelligence (BI) [3]. BI allows for the collation and analysis of large amounts of data between organizations to create strategic information. This is done by analyzing the differences between the relationships and discovering patterns that can provide organizational decisions that can improve organizational decision making. [4, 5].
Both practitioners and researchers alike show interest in BI because it has become synonymous with sustainable work, at least in theory [1, 4, 6]. The truth is much different; The business value (BV) realized by using BI is still unclear because some BI users report little value from using BI [7, 8, 9, 10]. The basis of the discrepancy is based on the misconception of the appropriate value and can be seen [1, 6, 11, 12, 13].
For the purpose of this study, BI is defined as “processes and systems (such as data warehouses, data marts, analytical tools such as reporting tools, ad hoc analytics and OLAP, in-memory analytics, planning, reporting, forecasting, scoring and data mining) that transform raw data into meaningful and useful information and to be efficient, effective and purposeful of the organization and its competitive environment” [2]. The term recognizes the relationship between Big Data, Business Intelligence, Data warehouses, and Business Intelligence as interactions in information systems, sometimes interchangeably means the same thing [14]. BV is identified as “changes, information and benefits” realized through the use of BI [15]. Business value (BV) and firm function (FP) are interchangeable as they are related and used occasionally in literature such as [16].
How Iot And Smart City Technology Works
Previous studies have managed to establish a link between BI and BV by analyzing the business potential and the business value chain [11, 16]. However, little is known about how BV is developed as most of the information in the literature focuses on the skills of BI [11]. In addition, despite the relationship that Information Technology (IT) and BV share, previous studies on BV in IT do not explain the relationship between BV and BI, because that BI has unique characteristics such as the use of techniques and applications specific to BI and not IT. [16].
This paper adopted a qualitative literature review to investigate the relationship between BI and the creation of BV in organizations. Qualitative data analysis provides a basis to determine the description of the state of data on a topic which in this case is to promote a deeper understanding of the relationship between BI adoption in organizations and BV created by BI in organizations [17] .
The main objective is to promote a better understanding of BV derivation from BI based on the theories and theoretical frameworks that are used as lenses to analyze BV derivation from BI, the importance of BI adoption, inhibitors of BV derivation, and more. information on BV. In most cases of BV, an underlying condition is present that determines the perspective in which BV is viewed [18, 19, 20]. For example, in some literature where BV is developed through the evaluation of resource utilization, the Research Perspective (RBV) is sometimes used as a lens to understand the development of BV [ 21, 22].
Key elements of BI adoption are well documented in the literature [23, 24, 25]; However, the key elements that help organizations around the world to realize BV through BI are little discussed. These key points are important in understanding how BV is derived from BI. In addition, it is important to identify factors that influence the experience of BV through BI adoption and different types of BV.
Tech Skills For Business Success: Your 2023 Guide
The uniqueness of this systematic review comes from the composition of the four research questions that were investigated and the importance of the relationship between BI adoption and BV as a thought that was used to understand the BV derived from BI, the factors affecting the transformation of BV from BI, the barriers to the success of BV from BI, and the different types of BV. To the best of our knowledge, no previous research has looked at the relationship between BI and BV from these same factors to provide a general opinion.
This paper is important for both researchers and practitioners because it provides a comprehensive overview of what has been done so far in the literature on the relationship between BV and BI, but also seek to uncover differences that may require further research. This will enable the users of BI to achieve a good return on investment and increase the level of success of BI [12, 26]. The paper will encourage a deeper understanding of the problems of BV created by BI in organizations and the advancement of future research on BV.
The rest of the paper is structured as follows: Chapter 2 presents the background and related activities of BI adoption and BV, while Chapter 3 discusses the methodology adopted in the study. Chapter 4 presents the results, with a discussion in Chapter 5. Chapter 6 presents the limitations of the study, while the paper is concluded in Chapter 7 with a summary and overview of the work. in the future.
BI has evolved over the years since it was introduced in the 1990s
